![]() The house is traditional and very comfortably with all the amenities you need. The welcome was so warm and the whole stay excellent and relaxing. We stayed at Villa Pia early September with our 4 year old daughter and would highly recommend. I had a wonderful few days and can't wait to return … I would recommend Villa Pia for anyone (families / couples / groups) who are seeking a beautiful location, relaxation and really good Italian food. Dinner is a communal affair when everyone sits together this encourages guests to speak to each other and results in a friendliness among guests which is a really nice touch. Each bedroom has a book of information which provides ideas for local walks and day trips. Everything is organised to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are facilities to keep guests entertained - 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, 2 trampolines, gardens, indoor soft play area for children, outdoor play area, library and music room. The hotel is also great for families with children. The food is amazing! Real home-cooked, flavoursome food. Guests are able to help themselves to food and drink throughout the day with wine and beer available with meals. Every member of staff was warm and friendly and universally ensure that guests are well taken care of. As soon as I arrived and unpacked I felt at home. I was beside the kitchen but was never disturbed by noise and slept well. Some members of the group stayed up the hill at the Palazza (large rooms, beautiful view) while I stayed in the main building in a lovely room on the ground floor which had tiled floors, painted ceilings and picturesque views from my window. ![]() I spent a wonderful 5 day break at Villa Pia. You need to be realistic about what to expect, and if you are, I think you will consider this worthy of 5 stars too. Finally, you don't get to choose you fellow travellers. The rooms are inconsistent (some are not in the main property). The food is great, but it is not the best in Italy. All that said, it is worth saying that while Villa Pia is a very relaxing place, it is not luxurious. The staff are very nice, and there are some special activities available for children a few times a week. You are provided with 3 meals a day that are fresh, healthy, and tasty. The rooms are basic but clean and cool and the linens changed every day. There is a large pool area looking out over the hills, and there are various different indoor and outdoor play spaces. Specifically, Villa Pia is in a beautiful location in the Umbrian hills with great views. That is what I expected, that is what I got, and that is why I gave 5 stars. This is a decent value, clean, family oriented hotel with good food in a stunning location.
